I am a lifestyle photographer which means my goal is to capture you and your children and partner in moments that reflect the essence of your family and your unique dynamic. I also incorporate some elements of documentary photography - as any mom knows, kids expressions and emotions change on a dime and I am paying attention during all the "in-between" moments. This is when I tend to capture some of my personal favorite photographs!

I am not a "look at me and say cheese" photographer, rather I capture the dynamics between you and your loved ones, your laughter, your love, your admiration and your awe. Unlike traditional portrait or studio photography, I work to capture genuine emotions and authentic interactions. I provide direction and prompts to help everyone feel comfortable and to elicit these emotions and reactions.

My work has been described as joyful, loving, honest, and nostalgic. My goal is to create photographs for you year after year, documenting your family as it grows giving you and your children a visual reminder to look back on for years that will trigger your unique memories. 

Family sessions typically take place outdoors, utilizing natural light. I have a number of different locations to choose from that have gorgeous light and landscape but am always open to hearing your ideas about places that hold a special meaning to your family. 

Family sessions can also take place in the comfort of your home. In-home sessions are done in light-filled rooms during the daytime hours.
